International conference «The Security Concept for the Union State in the context of global geopolitical transformation»

Igor Korotchenko, the General Director of the Caspian Institute for Strategic Studies, took part in the international conference «The Security Concept for the Union State in the context of global geopolitical transformation» in Minsk organized by the Belarusian Institute of Strategic Research (BISR), where he presented a report «The long-range threats and challenges for security of the Union State: external and internal factors».

The leading Russian and Belarus government agencies, researchers, analysts, experts in the sphere of global interaction were among the participants of the conference.

Relevant issues of cooperation between Russia and Belarus were discussed, as well as the issues of international and regional situations, their impact on Belarus and Russia, as well as the role of expert community in providing conceptual approaches and practical recommendations for assuring security of the Union State.

Before the start of the conference, Igor Korotchenko was awarded the BISR Certificate of Merit «For weighty contribution into the development of Belarus-Russian cooperation and active interaction with the Belarusian Institute of Strategic Research».
